Our Substance Abuse Testing Program
Because labor and management recognize the danger and costs which
alcohol and drug abuse can create in terms of safety and productivity,
Quality Electrical Construction focuses on a drug- and alcohol-free
work force.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 32 and the
Lima Division of the Western Ohio Chapter of the National Electrical
Contractors Association are firmly committed to the safe and efficient
performance of work in the electrical contracting industry. The
safety and health of employees and the quality of workmanship are
of paramount concern.
The use, possession, manufacture or distribution of alcohol and/or
drugs is inconsistent with the achievement of these objectives;
therefore, Quality Electrical Construction resolves to combat chemical
abuse in any form and encourage every individual in the industry
to join in this effort.
Quality Electrical Construction advocates fair rules of employment,
dignity of workers and sensitivity for troubled or afflicted persons.
Accordingly, Quality Electrical Construction will strive to alleviate
substance impairment through generally accepted methods of testing,
education and training, and rehabilitation. Furthermore, we recognize
the need to insure privacy and confidentiality to the greatest extent
possible consistent with the stated objectives of this program.
